Lance Kawesch, Kawesch Law Group

Lance Kawesch, the firm’s managing partner, has a general transactional practice involving mergers, stock and asset acquisitions and sales, SEC reporting, securities law compliance, and venture capital and other equity and debt financings.

Lance earned his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in Computer Science, and is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Law Review.


Scott Kaplowitch, Edelstein & Company

Edelstein & Company LLP is a certified public accounting, business services and financial planning firm headquartered in downtown Boston. Scott was named partner in 2001 and has a broad range of experience working with retailers, wholesalers, real estate and construction companies, venture capital funded start-ups, service companies and non-profit organizations.

Scott graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a BS in Business Administration and is in the process of earning his Masters of Taxation at Northeastern University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants & Essex County Estate Planning and Business Council. Scott also serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore.


Ruth K. Liebermann, HR Insourcing

Neil R. Gordon began his career with the accounting firm of Haskins & Sells and served as director, finance and accounting, of Empire of Carolina, Inc. Mr. Gordon was associated with Centronics Data Computer Corp, a computer peripherals manufacturer and Ekco Group, Inc., a leading consumer products manufacturer and marketer, for fourteen years, including eight years as the company's treasurer, before establishing N.R. Gordon & Company in 1995.


Mindy L. Gewirtz, Ph.D., Collaborative Networks

Mindy L. Gewirtz, Ph.D., is founder and President of Collaborative Networks International (CNI), a leadership consulting firm providing executive coaching and organizational strategy services. Specifically, we develop strategic leaders, align top teams, and build value networks across companies to advance the business strategy.

CNI has 18 years experience providing value to clients ranging from privately held start-ups and family-owned businesses to global companies in high tech, bio tech, clean tech and professional service firms.

Mindy earned her Ph.D. at Boston University and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brooklyn College. Listed in Who's Who of American Women, and Presidential Advisor at ATCC, Mindy also conducts research, and has authored multiple book chapters.

An entrepreneur herself, Leslie has an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges faced by small businesses and start-ups. She holds an MBA from Boston University and a BA in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Ellen Bohn Gitlitz is Vice President at Charles River Insurance Brokerage and has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. She specializes in serving fast-growing organizations, in industries such as high-tech, life sciences, and alternative energy, that range in size from start-ups to publicly held companies.

The key to Ellen’s success has been her ability to quickly grasp what her clients do and the implications for their insurance coverage. She is CPA-eligible and has earned two post-graduate degrees: one in nutritional biochemistry and the other in accounting and finance. Ellen has also conducted biomedical research projects and worked in the high tech industry.

In recognition of her accomplishments, Ellen was recently named by Women in Business — a publication of the Boston Herald — as one of the top 10 women in insurance. She was also one of just 18 insurance industry professionals asked to serve on Chubb Insurance Company’s Innovator National Advisory Board.


Christine Cahill, Boston Private Bank & Trust Company

Christine Cahill is a seasoned banker with 20 years of banking experience specializing in business development and client relationship management. She holds a Masters Degree from Boston University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College and in 2008 she was named one of the Top Ten Boston Bankers by Women’s Business Journal.


Bruce Crohn, Employee Benefits

Bruce Crohn has been involved as a service provider to small to mid-sized clients in the Boston area for over 25 years. His experience includes all aspects of employee benefit plans. These include group health, dental, life and disability plans. He is a hands-on advocate for his clients and is highly respected by the insurance community. His practice has included many start-ups and technology companies, as well as venture capital, private equity, real estate, clean energy, manufacturing and retail. Prior to starting his own firm, Bruce was employed as an insurance broker for a local employee benefits firm and as a District Manager for nearly 20 years for ADP and HR Logic, a Fidelity human resources and benefits outsourcing company.


Janice Kelliher, CPA, TechCFO

Janice Kelliher, CPA provides part time accounting and financial management to a variety of clients, particularly emerging technology companies. Known as a troubleshooter, Janice wore many hats at the portfolio companies, including CFO and CEO of a software company. For three years, Janice was a Director of the Emerging Business practice for Accounting Management Solutions, Inc. Because she has been an angel investor, business developer, board member, outside auditor, CEO and, of course, CFO she’s uniquely qualified to provide meaningful and useful financial information. She graduated from Bentley College with a degree in Accountancy and is a licensed CPA.
